For the month of November in the US there is a project going around that involved writing 50,000+ words for a novel in the month of November on the website www.nanowrimo.com .
It's finally giving me a chance to sit down and force myself to actually write some stuff. So I've entered. I think you can see my profile from here.

Wish me luck, because if I can meet the 50,000 mark by the end of this month I get access to all sorts of editing tools and maybe even references for publishers/editors to send my manuscript to once it's finished.
