The 4th Dimension

So, weird question I know, but can anyone explain the 4th dimension to me? I heard something like, if a man stands in the middle of a street and a car is headed at him at 6AM, and the same thing happens at 6PM, that's the fourth dimension, but I have no clue what that is supposed to mean

Time is considered the "fourth dimension".

The three dimensions are: Length, Width, and Height. So, if you use all of those dimensions in an equation, and have a timeline for it also, then you're using 4 dimensions.

I could picture someone wlaking out of the hospital, with crutches, a car screetches down the road, and teh person's like: "crap... not again.".

Also... who the heck goes on dates at 6am??? LOL

So, does anyone know a cool name for a device to send you to hyperspace? I was thinking Jump Drive, Zero-Space Driver, or Dimension Drive. What do you guys think?

jump drive sounds more Stargate because they actually say "we will make it in 3 jumps" and stuff like that.

It's gotta be something cool and not close to stuff that's already been done...
