Wednesday was a sad day... Empty
PostSubject: Wednesday was a sad day...   Wednesday was a sad day... EmptyThu Apr 17, 2008 10:50 am

Ok I work in a chicken plant, we have about 800 employees there, about 250 or 300 of which are Latino. Yesterday was a really bad day, ICE came in and arrested almost all of them Sad I saw my 3 best friends get arrested and they were crying and I was crying and the cops told me to get away or I'd be arrested too! I saw my friend Jessica who is pregnant with TWINS and she was freaking out (can't blame her) cuz they took her bf. I agree that they shouldn't come here illegally, I love the Latin American culture and there people! But the ICE went over board. I drove my jack out to the shipping docks and looked out one of the back doors, they had about 15 guys out back, all with rifles. 4 snipers on the roof, about 20 state police, 2 choppers, the Hegerstown news and about 50 ICE Police. They made all the American people go into one big room and all the Latinos go into another room, once i came out into the hall we all could see what was happening.

So guys can you keep in pray Manuel, Julio, Javier, and all the others that were embarrassed, and humiliated.

Excuse my language, but that is total bullshit that they can do that. I also agree that you shouldn't come here illegally, but sometimes they have no choice. I say, as long as you have a job, and are providing for the economy, pretty much just working hard like everyone else, and not just sitting on Social Assistance, then there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to stay.

I mean, I can understand the govt getting in touch with these people to say: "Hey, you need to become an american citizen", but to embarrass them like that, is absolutely absurd. But then again, that's just my opinion.

I'm sorry DeX, these people, in fact, no people deserve that kind of treatment. I also agree with Vandez, sorry to hear that this happened, best of luck to your friends.
*moment of silence for the terrible occurrence in the chicken plant, Wednesday, April 16, 2008*

O_o couldn't they just ...I dunno....CHECK to see if there files are correct? I mean I don't think a huge company would hire 500 illegal imagrants ... maybe 4 or 5 on accident but more then that is just....not logical. I would ALMOST understand doing that if they KNEW what ones were the illegal ones, but to this extent? Thats just horrible.
