| Okay, this thread, is devoted to finding out which is the more superior fighter. Now, I need actual answers, because I need it to finish my screenplay. I'm so close to finishing up the final draft, I can taste it, IT'S DELICIOUS!!! Now, get comfortable, because this one's a doozy. So, let's begin. F-302F-302 WikiThe F-302 Fighter the production model of the X-302 Experimental Fighter prototype resembling the X-301, but was built entirely from Earth-constructed components, using reverse-engineered knowledge of alien technology. The F-302 is the first production series craft using reverse-engineered knowledge of alien technology. Viper Mk. IIViper WikiThe Colonial Viper is the primary fighter spacecraft type used by the human protagonists in the Battlestar Galactica fictional universe. Appearing in both the 1978 original series and the 2003 reimagined series, as well as various derivative works, the single-pilot spacecraft are carried aboard Battlestar Galactica and are the human's main tools of defence against the fictional universe's antagonists - the cybernetic Cylon race. | |

| The F-302 is far better than the Viper, and quite frankly, even if a 304 went up against a Colonial Battlestar it would win, I mean, 1. We have shield, they have nothing 2. More manuvorability and speed Honestly, you pit SG against BSG, SG would kick ass! | |

| Well put. But I think the Vipers have manueverability over the 302's, given that they have an RCS. Although, the 302 has realism to it. It has a rocket motor, two Aerospike Engines, and two Jet Engines. Where as the Viper just has the basic stuff, with Missiles coming from nowhere, where as the 302 has its Slammer missiles from the under-wing. Let's keep it coming, and don't forget to vote | |

| I don`t know... on the one hand, the 302s have missiles, and locking capabilities, on the other hand, the Vipers DEFINITELY have the maneuverability over the 302s I think. However, the 302s would have the speed over the Vipers. Personally though, if Starbuck were piloting, I would NOT want to go up against her even if I had a 302 with nothing but nukes on it lol | |

| Yeah, if Starbuck's here, then we're screwed. Unless we have Sam in a 302. Hm... Anyway, I'd say that the Viper looks cooler, depending on the shots that the director uses. But the 302 is cooler in general, because it's logical, and we could see them one day. | |

Yeah, I agree, but what i like most about BSG is that when the ships are flying in space, that one show has the most realistic space flight effects than any other I've seen. I'm talking about the ways that the ships move. I like how the ships can't turn on a dime, except for spinning around and boosting the other way. I find THAT more realistic than the 302s which fly more like jets, even in space. However, that's not to deny the 302s from the pure awesomeness that they are. | |

| Indeed. And if we combine an RCS with the 302, they are screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewed. I also agree that the movement of the Viper is realistic, but the RCS would need to be much MUCH bigger on it if it were to fuel such turns. | |
