 sgaja inner ring

Okay, I don't know if my title is accurate, but I need to know how to take the inner ring used in the Pegasus gates for sgaja and atlantis 1.1 from Casper and put it on the gates in other maps. I've gone in and spliced paths, adding files and folders to where they go into a .pk3, adding sgaja scripts and shaders, but no go, any ideas friends?

In the maps sgaja and atlantis 1.1, the inner ring of the Stargate with all the glyphs was redone to make only one Pegasus gate glyph appear consecutively with each dialed chevron, I wanta know how I can put that ring in all the SG maps I have now to make the gates in that change into Pegasus ones with my textures. Very Happy

.... are they your maps? or different ones.. cuz I dont think you can if the map is complete already... or if you don't have a .map.. unless MAYBE you can open the map up in notepad and look for the command line that tells the game where 2 get the models from and change it... but thats a BIG BIG maybe...

I don't know where to find a .map in the file, is it in the .bsp part of the .pk3? I understand how this could be difficult too, but when you say .map, could I edit from one of the .md3's or.ase's from the gatev3 folder to use the files? I know what files I need, but I don't know where to put them Smile

Okay, next best thing, do you know how to add textures that aren't supposed to be there originally, to the gate model. I figured out that the color of the chevrons, also dictates the color of the inner ring, minus the glyphs and splits. Do you know how to add a texture option so I can do that?
