Wraith and Replicator

I've done some simple reskins and model replacement and made a wraith warrior havn't got the face plate and decent armour yet, it's just a weequay with green skin and white hair with a wraith stunner made which was a replacement of the demp2 model with the noghri stick, the effect of the demp2 is still there because it looks like a stun effect.

The other is the replicator which is the minemonster coloured darker and the white replaced with purple, it only took less htan 10 minutes but if any one is interested in aquiring them or wants to develop them further feel free to ask and i shall send, just give me your email addy.

They are in 2 pk3s so just drag n' drop into the base folder (of course you all new that ^_^) they will overwrite the defaults but to spawn the wraith with the stunner rather than a weequay with a bowcaster:

npc spawn minemonster
npc spawn wraith

The models are included so you wont get the stormie model not found error with the minemonster, it's taken straight from the JKII assests model folder.

So yeah if you want then you can have.

The Wraith looks good, but the Replicator reminds me of a headcrab from HL2.

yeah i know lol, but it's the best i could do, if i could model then it would be more replicator like, but it's just a reskin of the minemonster, it's fun to spawn a few dozen and run backwards down the corridor blasting them but yeah... sorry it's not better...

I can grab you a file, that has the replicator model in it. You may have to dig through the file, but you'll find it in there. You want it?

I like it and hl2 has plenty of models fo replicator...if you got there model would you be able to make it for jka format?

A few things I've noticed.
Yes, the replicator does look like a head crab, lol but the colors are good, I'd make a jpg of some metal plates overlapping each other to replace the skin.

And for the Wraith, good model choice for a reskin.

Here is a shot of the toy, you may want to lighten the green, and make the cloths all black.
As for the shin armor and belt, try using a pic of a seashell, or the back of a pillbug. Both resemble the armor.

And you might be able to getaway with copying half of this face plate, and pasting half on one side of the face skin, and then flipping it to past on the other half of the skin.

Ok so i had a play around did some more, so what do you think now? i think i'll add more to the armor soon and the leg plates need to go on too, thanks to dex for his brilliant idea of using a pillbug as armor it works really well!! err what else, need to get some sounds, any help would be cool if some one has something that would make a good taunt sound. also the icons arnt showing up in mp for some reason but i'll keep at it!

Wow that looks almost like a wraith one suggestion (Not that i can do anything to do with moding and ect..) try make the hair more like ordinary long hair... But it does look good enugh now to

ok how does one go about replacing the hair, does it require modifying the .skin or the .glm files ? someone help because i have no idea, once the hair is done the skin should be near enough ready to release and then i can start on the replicator

I don't know my self but if your going about hair I would say it would be the model and then you might have to skin it to look like hair...

Thanks for the link cam, it's cool but i might have a crack at this modeling malarky and go from scratch, im gonna leave the wraith for the moment because it's about done except for the hair

or maybe not... trouble is the replicator was made for hl2 and so it is from a different engine and model format =[[ i'll figure something out

Right yeah, i figure the wraith is as good as im gonna get it, and the replicator is just not happening, so if anyone wants the files that i've done just ask and i'll e-mail them to you.

A suggestion, make the Wraith's skin a little pale Other than that awesome models!
