Event Horizon 2 or V2

Right now we are in the very early stages of making either a Version 2 of EH, or a new one all together!

could i help? i can make maps, but.... i dont know that much, i know basic rooms and all those, i can't seem to make a stargate model in GTK radiant

Currently we're focusing on a HL2 mod, so if you know how to map with Hammer it would be a great help:)

that it would! lol, but to answer your question.

You need to use either version 1.4 or 1.5 of GTK to import a model.

You'll also need the either .md3, or .ASE model files. The models can be found in any of WadeV1589's maps or in our own map files.

They are free to use as you wish so long as credit is giving to the authors. Just include who made the models in the readme for the level. Thanks

ya, I picked mother ship...BUT I think all the ideas would be great except the huge desert with killing sun...if you did make that however I would suggest no sand storms and not so big on the light FROM the sun...because sand particles in the air is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE lag and the sand textures always have UNPLEASENT glare...

same with ice, try no mist....if you do do mist do very light. Mist, smoke, and fog look cool BUT cause HELLA lag.

I think we should make a new version of the mod...make it a different story line. Since Shep is too buisy with School to help us out it wouldn't be fare to redo it and make changes to HIS dream storyline. This way WE can come up with a storyline and not worry about him getting mad ^_^.

Indeed! And does anyone have an idea for a story? Also, Amy I would love to know what Shep's original story was. since he would never tell me! grr grr!

I keep thinking "something in the future" either WAY WAY WAAAAAAY up in the future, OR! something I thought of the other day at work. What if we did a game about the Altaren's war with the wraith? Having it start out right after Atlantis left earth? that would be interesting. Though I'm not sure we could pull off all the massive models needed.. seeing as how we would need several Atlantis classed ships. Or at least two. Remember, there was Atlantis, and there was that one in the episode "The Tower". It was Atlantis classed, just buried... Also there was a city on Te'la's home world, not sure if it was a city chip. but it was Altaren.

We could take this one and half way through the story, crash land it! And they never said a name for it so we could make our own!

You see? I think we could prolly do it. And it opens up a new story to play with, one that doesn't have a lot of detail. so we could keep to the stargate part of it but still make it our own. Y'all get what I'm trying to convey?

The tower looks doable, doesn't have to be exact ^_^ also the second one looks more like a rocket...like a short range ship kinda like how our space shuttles are launched.

I think we should try and make it kinda like after Continuum/Atlantis S5, because it leaves us an area which is unknown, and we can do whatever we want! Make new ships, new gates New galaxies XD Maybe a nice map like StargateWorlds but with Atlantis and a few other good places.

Btw. Amy, in StargateWorldV3-1, can you do anything with the Ancient place? Seems useless to me XD

most of it is just a shell for atmosphere so people can RP and build there own things in it.

thanks for the help! I started working on my map, I want to make a common stargate site ( one that we will all own, each one of you will have his own room with admin rights over the base so post here what you want to be in your room, like if you want a lockdown terminal or anything like that)

By the way I can't make a map for HL2 with hammer but I've seen a clip on Youtube with how to make a Stargate map ingame, I will look up for the mod and PM you if I find anything

ummmm what system will this be for? HL2 or JKA? cause that would be alot of help in choosing admin areas.

JKA, cause I dont have the original HL2 so it dosent work with any stargate mod, got HL2 from a friend but he didnt want to give me the disc so he dumped a bunch of "installed" files into my computer
But you guys say what you will want in your admin rooms

do you have the cd key tho? if you do you can dl it with steam
