PostSubject: I may have stumbled on a secret project   I may have stumbled on a secret project EmptyThu Jul 17, 2008 10:57 am

This is how the USAF has designated their fighters in a normal number line.
F-13 was skipped.
F-19 was skipped, possibly still calssified.
F-20 Tiger shark
F-21 Kfir
F-22 Raptor
F-23 Black Widow II - beaten by the Raptor, never saw service.
And then.
F-35 Lighting II
WTF!
So, I did some digging, and found something, a possible YF-24, still classified.
I may have stumbled on a secret project Eagle2yf242qy
Have I found an aircraft, that is still classified?

There's quite a few, subtle differences.
I may have stumbled on a secret project Su47-3
The back little horizontal wings, aren't as close to the bent forward wings, the little wings at the front, on the SU-47, are slightly detached, the wind tunnel's more round than square, and there's a little fin that connects the wind tunnel to the cockpit, on the SU-47.
And... I think I put up the wrong pic in the first post Very Happy
I may have stumbled on a secret project Skxiti
What about that?

The 'YF-24' was photoshopped from a Sukoi, no doubt about it!

Trust me, Australian Army Colonel knows best Smile

Stark, all I can do now is, salute. Well done Razz Do you have a degree or any knowledge of aerodynamics? Because if so, I'd like to run my fighter design by you, before I use it for my screenplay.

Indeed I do,

I mean, you have to have degrees in the Science of Awesomeness to be one of the first Aussies to fly the F-35 Smile

YF-24 does not exist, it was actually a designation for an experimental F-14, the original image was actually a Sukoi, just photoshopped to look like a US fighter Smile
