Ok here are a some shots of the Pegasus based off world I am working on.
Since Jack is making a Milky way off world, I figured I'd work on the Pegasus one instead! Smile

If you look there is a cave and it will lead to a village, or a teliporter that will take you TOO a village. Something we haven't seen in SGA yet is Ring transporters. I'm hoping to find out what they may look like and have the rings take you to a secret village.
There are several good places for sniping, and places to hide, behind rocks and what not. The gate is in the open so once your through head for cover. Also the DHD is setting in the open on a small hill making it more east to attack.

As for the Peg DHD I have no new textures. If I change the peg DHD textures the MK DHD will look like the Peg gate.. So I'm stuck with this one for now.. lol.. if I have too I'll just make a new one!!! lol

If you need 'em, I've got some great pegasus DHD textures, including glassy glyph buttons, if you want 'em, just PM me, this TC looks incredible and the Pegasus Gate is what I've been striving to make aswell, no luck with the inner ring though Razz

Why does the inner edge of the gate look glowy? Is it lighting?

Well actually the texture is fine, its just that one part, and the models/textures for this gate is very good, and makes Wades look substandard in my opinion anyway.

Do you guys use the same texturing system for the models of the gate as Wade? Because Wade's gate is real easy to edit texture and sound wise.
P.S. I've finished new glyph panel textures for the Pegasus DHD. In the Atlantis pilot, you get a great look at the dialed DHD, if you want 'em, I'd be very happy to oblige, they're very good if I do say so myself Very Happy

kool, no rush I'll be up for a bit still!
In the mean time here are some small updates!
I fixed the water finally... So you cant see the sky box through the water anymore!
Changed it to a night time map so i can cut back on the lighting and add more detail. and reworked the gate chevron textures a little bit to make the chevrons transluscent! Slightly.. lol

Oh! and in Ancient Outpost, there was an eventhorizon on a rocky opening in a cave, it teleported you, or maybe one of those Furling transporters, no one said they didn't setup shop in Pegasus Very Happy

Dont put in too much stuff.. I'd say a couple of things are neat sure, but for the first version, I'd try to keep it simple. People admire a good, but simple map. Still rings and such are cool! though we havent seen pegasus rings yet..

That's because they don't have them in the Pegasus Galaxy. They had beaming technology and weapons, no other races had ships, so rings were unneccessary I think, also, the Pegasus Galaxy was essentially a prison. The gate's were the most advanced of all the gate systems, but were limited to not leave a galaxy and had several safety features removed, so I don't think you'll see rings, the Ancients tried to strand the Wraith and Asurans in Pegasus.

uhh pegasus wasnt a prison.. milkyway gates also cant dial other galaxies.. its a safety feature.. what safety features have been removed btw?

Milky Way actually can dial other galaxies, the Lantean control crystal was what modded the Atlantis gate. The safety features removed were manual dial out, cutting off two ways of dialing, there's less gate's in Pegasus than MW given that there is only 36 glyphs on a standard Pegasus gate where as a MW has 39, and I think the buffer was removed.

The buffer isnt removed.. matter still enters the gate fully (into the buffer) and is then sent to another gate, if it wouldnt.. you'd see a vessel halfway trough both gates for example, and in season one we saw that that wasnt the case.. As for manual dialing, true, but the civilisations were more advanced, and the pegasus galaxy is infact smaller than the milky way. Stated by Jackson in the very first episode.

Ah yes, but I was speaking metaphorically. The Ancients did all they could to limit travel for the Wraith and Asurans, without destroying the entire gate system. They would return after the Wraith died out (which they thought would happen) and do Ancienty stuff, they didn't know the Asurans survived the assault on Asura when they left Atlantis.

I found some wild west styled prefabs online... I was thinking of some kind of transporter, or maybe just a puddle of water on the ground then takes you too an old west themed area with saloons and stuff! isn't there a horse vehicle for jka? Maybe 3 or 4 or those on the level... um.. WHOO! and in the foresty place hows bout some fireflies by the pond! if only i could get some flower plant models or something, who feels up to giving me some flowers!? anybody?.... *crickets...* hmm.. ok well might have to find em on me own! lol
